Field Hospital at CenturyLink Field in Seattle Will Treat Non-Coronavirus Patients
As King County officials continue to work with the city of Seattle, Washington, and state and federal colleagues to prevent their healthcare system from being overwhelmed, work will commence Monday to install a field hospital CenturyLink Field. The event space, which usually houses the golf and car show, will be transformed into a 147-bed hospital within a week.
"It's going to treat people who do not have COVID-19, but it's every bit as heroic in this effort," said Washington Governor, Jay Inslee, at Sunday's media briefing to launch the project.
