The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has created a Coronavirus Self-Checker chat tool to help guide people through what medical care might be needed if they suspect they might have the virus.
The tool has people answer short questions about their health and current status (questions about symptoms, where in the U.S. they're located, if they have any underlying health conditions, etc.). Based on the answers, the Self-Checker will recommend someone to either stay at home, talk to a medical provider or seek out immediate medical attention.
The tool isn't meant to diagnose or treat COVID-19, but rather to help people know what type of care they might need given any symptoms or the severity of symptoms they have.
Try the Coronavirus Self-Checker tool here.
