UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Hospital With Persistent Coronavirus Symptoms
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson tweeted this morning that he went to the hospital last night for additional testing for his COVID-19 symptoms.
"This was a precautionary step because he continues to have persistent coronavirus symptoms 10 days after first having tested positive for the virus," Dominic Raab, the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, said in a press conference today.
Johnson is still in the hospital for observation.
Last night, on the advice of my doctor, I went into hospital for some routine tests as I'm still experiencing coronavirus symptoms. I'm in good spirits and keeping in touch with my team, as we work together to fight this virus and keep everyone safe.
